OSR needs volunters - Help us out !

Hi guys,

Once again, OSR needs volunteers to help running the league. Please allow me first to summarize the work we have done since OSR creation.

We have been done

In the past 4 month, OSR have grown (more than 200 registered players) and OSR gathered a community of go players willing to study and play together.

Thanks to our teachers including Guo Juan, we setted up 14 teaching events and we were able to reward our winners with cool prizes every month.

Thanks to your involvement, 319 long, serious games have been played. Most of them were followed by review with the help of strong players.

We are happy to see you are using our forums: 273 Post and 7 polls

On the website side, allow me to remind you the main work that have been done:

  • We built tools to ease the works of managing leagues
  • We now can run many leagues at the same time
  • A game can count for multiple leagues at the same time
  • We have an event calendar system working
  • We show kgs online players on our website

Many features were implemented after OSR users suggestions and discussions.

We need help

While I am very happy and excited by those positive facts, I have to say we need help to keep this work going.

While I spend quite some time implementing new features on the website, I find running the leagues takes me too much time and energy and I can't do it the way I would like to:

  • Set up events
  • Post news on the website
  • Advertise for events
  • Create new league every month
  • Welcome new players and answer their questions.
  • Records events and upload them to our Youtube channel
We created a Help OSR page so everyone can see ways to help OSR.
Their, you will find a Donate button so you can support us financially if you want. That money will be use to pay for the server cost and to set up events/prizes with our teachers.
