As some of you have already noticed there has been a huge delay in this months update due to a very limited availabilty of our admin team. A number of team members are currently away from home for extended amounts of time and others are busy with offline projects and work. We are always looking for additional staff members - so if you are enjoying the Open Study Room and would like to help please get in touch.

However - for now, since I am free to do some writing while traveling in a train across Europe, finally the results of our monthly leagues:

League overview

League Players Games 1st 2nd 3rd
Main OSR league 60 36 bugcat (6/12) flapse10 (7/9) AdamReal (3/10)
DDK league 17 4 AdamReal (2/2) seequ (1/1) opuss (1/1)
Dan league 7 1 Brisbaner (1/1) GoDave89 (0/1) -
9x9 league 7 2 AdamReal (1/2) Carl (1/1) alemitrani (0/1)
8th Meijin 143 216 GoDave89 (36/38) flapse10 (24/37) bugcat (19/37)

Unfortunately the activity in April was even lower compared to that in March and I am getting worried that we will see the leagues deserted during the summer months. However - I can already see some increased activity in the running month so maybe there is no need to get dramatic yet :).

The monthly OSR league showed some low-average activity with the most active players being bugcat, flapse10 and AdamReal. With more games played and leading by half a point bugcat could once more win this months OSR league.

The DDK league was again very quiet with a total of only 4 games played. AdamReal could claim the title - probaly for the last time as he has now advanced to 9kyu.

The Dan league had a single game between Brisbaner and GoDave89 which Brisbaner won.

At least the 9x9 league could show an sustantial increase in activity - from 0 games to 2 in April and against our expectations the most active Player was not alemitrani but AdamReal, who could also win this league.

With the end of April we also reached the end of the 8th OSR Meijin period. Our regular readers are likely not surprised, that once more the title goes to our fabulous GoDave89, who was not only leading with the most played games but also a win-rate of almost 95%. However - it looks like we have some players who are getting closer, with similar activity just not quite the same success yet. Especially flapse10 and bugcat are contenders to keep an eye out for.
