Hello fellow Gobaneros!
With October coming to an end, our monthly leagues and the 6th OSR Meijin league are all wrapped up and winners are to be announced.
The DDK league did see an increase in activity this month. korni took up the stones again and won this months league with 4 wins in 4 games. His prize is a teaching game with Brandon and a 10€-voucher for Guo Juan’s Internet Go School.
The Dan league was less active with only 3 players participating. Nonetheless, Zero00 could claim this months prize for himself and he is awarded with a teaching game with Norman Tsai (AGA 6d) and a 10€-voucher for Guo Juan’s Internet Go School.
The October OSR league showed a similar activity as in previous months and a total of 23 players fought for this months title. Once more, we have two people finishing with the same score. As already explained last month, the internal mechanisms of the league actually take into account things like SOS and SODOS and a future update will also make these values visible for everyone. This means jthat is this months runner-up and he wins a game review by Justin Teng. The winner with 5 wins out of 5 played games is GoDave89 who can not only claim the title but also a teaching game with Norman Tsai (AGA 6d) and a 10€-voucher for Guo Juan’s Internet Go School.
But there is more! The end of October also concludes the 6th OSR Meijin league and we are happy to announce that 53 players fought hard to end the terror regime of our current Meijin. Alas, they failed! Our new (and old) Meijin is a seemingly invincible GoDave89 who could conquer every single one of his 28 games. His spoils of such success are not only the prestigious title that he may hold for another 3 months but also a teaching game with Alexandre Dinerchtein (3p).
All winners will soon receive emails with details on how to obtain their prizes.
Thank you everyone for participating in this months leagues! We hope you enjoyed your games and could use them to hone your skills further.
New leagues have been started and are waiting for players. Please remember to sign up for all the leagues you want to participate in, so your games can be counted for those leagues.
Finally we also want to thank everyone who supports OSR in any way - may it be our lecturers, partners, friends or patreons. You allow us to make OSR possible!
