OSR needs you!
While the OSR community is taking shape, we become more and more aware of the work needed to run such a community. At the moment we lack manpower in the following areas:
Communication
The main job will be to send emails and to write posts on our website as well as in various social media (reddit, google+, facebook).
To apply for this, one should obviously feel comfortable writing in English.
By doing that, you would take some workload off of my shoulders, thus allowing me to work more on new website features.
Welcome teachers/record lectures
For each event (lecture, game commentary) we need someone to:
- Advertise the event in popular KGS rooms 5 min before it begins
- Welcome the teacher properly
- Record a video/sgf of the event.
- Upload the video/sgf afterwards
Obviously we can't ask one person to be there at each event, so we should build a team of around 10 people comfortable with such a job. Then it will be easy to find 2 of them for each event.
Applying for this means you are comfortable with the tasks listed above. This won't take much of your time. You would just have to attend a lecture from time to time.

The two recruitment profiles we listed above are the one we need the most but if you want to help in other ways, you are more than welcome:
- Web designer : Help us make our website a bit more fancy. Mostly html/css work.
- Back-end dev: Help us implement new features for OSR. python/django work.
- Studying/Teaching: We welcome any kind of go study (game review, tsumego) and can help you set it up.
- Feedback/ideas/critics: Remember that we are doing this for you, so let us know how we can continue to improve this community!
